I have a beautiful, young, Nile Monitor for sale. 'He' (gender assumed) is about two foot long and handsomely marked and colored. Small, very active, hasn't bit, does not try to smack you with his tail. Prefers to bolt to the other side of the tank and smack against the glass (I'm resorting to padding the lower sides of his tanks with fabric)
Likes to puff up, hiss, and try to escape whilst being held (this will result in you being scratched up by his claws if he is not held properly)

Previous owner bought him as a hatchling from a breeder (unknown) at a reptile expo, according to them, about a year ago. I bought him with plenty of time, space, patience, and experience but have found that my heart lies with the Savannah's and Ball Pythons.

I do not recommend this lizard for the beginner hobbyist. Nile Monitors grow to 4.5-5.5 feet in captivity, some even reaching 7 feet. They live an average of 10-15 years and are very difficult to tame. They can seriously injure an inexperienced handler. Please consider this before contacting me.

He is $50 including shipping. Or, I will trade for a Savannah or Ball Python.
