Advice on Painting Herp Room...

I am going to paint my herp room. My question is how long should I keep the snakes out of that room?

My main concern is that the rest of my basement isn't as warm as my herp room. They'll have to be in the cooler half of the basement while I am painting.

I am doing a complete remodel of the room including new flooring paint and a countertop and sink. I'll post pictures when it is finished. I am really excited to get to work on it.

I wouldn't put them back in until the paint smell is completely gone.
