King snake not eating - 3 months now.

So I am at a total loss on what to do next.

My Cali King hasn't eaten for 3 months now.

I have tried everything but he just shys away from everything i try to give him like he's scared of it. No interest what-so-ever in food.

The ODDEST thing is that he acts normal aside from that. He just shed in one full peice last week and he's still active in his cage, looking for a way out, making noise in the fake leaves, etc.

I clean his cage regularly, give him fresh water, temps are perfect, etc. Doing everything by the book and more.

He is breathing fine, he doesn't seem to have lost any weight at all. I see no signs of infection or scale rot or anything. He seems to be healthy. I've had him for 2 years now.

His body is still rounded, he doesn't look mal-nourished.

I am at a total loss what to do besides bring him to a vet now.

What are the Temps?

Are you feeding Frozen/thawed or are you feeding live? maybe try live, maybe hes looking to breed, I'm not sure, I think someone else might be able to give you a better hand

If your kingsnake is too active, that could also be a bad thing.
Even though kings are not balls, they can have similar problems that can be solved similarly too.

Size of tank? Do you have hides available? What are you trying to feed him? How old is he? What are the temperatures of your enclosure? What time of the day are you feeding him?

What are you using for a thermal gradient heat source?

Close to 3 years old now. He has plenty of hiding space, 20 gallon glass tank with covered sides he;s been in for about 1.5 years now.

Frozen thawed mice always, he's never had live. Temps are fine, humidity is fine. I have a UTH heat source under the cage as well if he needs a warm spot.

He's not overly active at all, he;ll snoop around the cage for about an hour or so then go back and sleep in his hide or outside it.

That's the odd thing about all this, he acts normal besides not feeing. someone mentioned maybe he;s going into a sort of winter state that may last for 4-5 months? I think I remember hearing that somewhere.

I hope that's why because that would make me feel alot better!
