    King snake?

    is this a kingsnake? if so what species?

    I just want to make sure this is a king snake because someone wants to trade me my black/white king for this one...IS this also a king snake?

    Its a Thayer's Kingsnake (L. mexicana thayeri) and a pretty one at that.

    i dunno if its an illusion or not but it almost looks like it has a few spine kinks. better get a side picture of it to make sure.

    i guess the guy above knows what he is talking about, but my guess would have been a gray banded and a poor photo of it (color wise). i have one that kinda looksl like that. it was a major pain in the butt getting her to eat.
