    success full feeding...well sorta!

so yesterday was my first feeding after i got my BP...well I wanted to try F\T...just cause of the possible risk of him getting bit...will...it was a total bust...good thing i one got one..hehehe
so i ran back to petco really fast and go a live mouse...and I dangled it there for him...and he just sat there...I was like crap he is still stress from the new home and all that...so i just dropped it in turned off the light...watching to make sure the mouse did not hurt him...and with in 1 min boom...he got him...eheheheheh...it was sooooooo exciting to see him do that (that kinda sounds morbid..sorry)...i wanted to do it again....to bad they only eat once every 7 days. ( i will up load pic as soon as hubby fixes his pc..prob tonight)

I just wanted to share with everyone that this newbei is working well...we are still working out bugs with the humidity and getting up every 2 hours to check on him (like having a new born) and check the temp and hum...and making any little adjustments i need. But he looks happy and well...and im happy he is happy.....he is going to be moved in to a new home in a few days...still working on the new cage...should have it tomorrow all set up and ready to go....

Im so happy I found this place...I live in Montana, and i dont trust the people at petco and the breader i got him from is use the geckos and is faerly new to BPs and not that informative. So all the info you guys share is just WONDERFUL...and has helped me out SOOOO ....much....I just want to thank you all for just being there for anyone that needs help and being so open and honest with your opening and answers. You are all GREAT.

Congrats on a successful first feeding, Lunawf!

Hopefully, you'll be able to get his temps and humidity to settle to within a comfortable range, without having to check in and wake him up every two hours - and let him digest that dinner before moving to the new cage!

It's great to see how excited you are about him - but watch out for how addicting they are! <looks around himself> You could . . . umm . . . wind up with a bunch of 'em in a short time.

i do everything i can not to wake him, i just use a red bulbed flash light to check the temp and stuff...and then i use a controller to raise it or lower it....that way im not disturbing him....i read that they cant see red or blue...thats why i put a little red bulb in my flash light. he is in a glass tank that is why i think im having the issues,

oh i know how addictive they are...I already want another one...or 2...i have my eye on a couple..hehehe
going to wait till i have a full footing on this one before I start in with a new one.

I would get rid of that substrate. Just go with newspaper or papertowels. I wouldn't want him to accidentally swollow any of that stuff.
