    Newbie cage cleaning question

Hi all! I've had my first BP for about a month now and its time to clean her enclosure! I have her in a 20G glass tank with a Zoo Med UTH stuck on the warm side (learned my lesson there). My question is: how do I clean with the UTH stuck on??? Do I put the tank in the bathtub and fill it with a water/bleach mix? How do I avoid damaging the UTH and still clean effectively?

Well, you can simply fill the tank with about a cup of water and some soap, then scrub away. Then rinse with a cup of water, dry that up with a towel, ring it out, rinse again....lol

Or you can remove the UTH by following my sticky

I spray some peroxide and vinegar all over the inside of the tank, furniture and hides to disinfect my big tanks. I lit it sit for 15-20 minutes, then wipe it with a wet rag and then dry it. You can also use just vinegar I think as well. Hope this helps.

Vinegar works pretty well at cleaning off glass

You can use a soap or bleach dilution to disinfect if necessary. Just make sure you rinse it out well.

As far as the UTH... as long as it's under the tank and not getting wet it should be fine
