    Getting first BP this weekend

Hello all. I'm new here and am glad I found this site. There is a reptile expo comming up this weekend and I'm excited to go. I'd like to pick up a few more Tarantulas, a crestie and another leo and also a BP. I've done lots of reading but I'm not sure if it's just me or what but all the advice is very general. I know I need an enclosure with 50-60 humidity, water dish, 2 hides, a hot spot of 90-95 and a cooler spot of 80-85. That all sounds pretty easy right?

Well I went and bought a rubbermaid 2221 but now I'm thinking it is to big for a baby BP right? If yes what size should I get? Is there a way to get some kind of UTH device that will allow me to use it for a smaller one and for the 2221 as well? Is there a dumie guide to setting up a tub tutorial with pictures I could see? I obviously want to give it the best living conditions possible and ensure it thrives. I'm sure that if I ask these questions at the expo they will want to sell me all kinds of things I perhaps don't need. I would really appreciate some advice.

    Thanks for reading.

    Hey first off !

Now to the questions, a baby BP might be ok in a tub that size as long as you make sure that there is a good amount of stuff in there so he/she feels secure. Smaller hides are always good. What expo are you going to? You might actually be able to find an older normal BP (assuming that is what you are looking for ) and they are usually not too expensive at shows. I know I just picked up a 1600g beautiful normal girl for $50 at the last show I went to.
Just make sure that you have the temps and everything regulated somehow (either a rheostat or a thermostat, preferably a thermostat) in your new snakes tub, heat pads can get extremely hot!

I don't have my snakes in tubs so I can't really help with your questions!

But welcome to the forum! Feel free to post pics of your current herp collection as well as your new arrivals after the expo!
