Finally got one!

A bloodred corn snake that is. Since I first got into corn snakes this is the type I wanted. He just arrived today and looks even better in person. Need to think of a name for him but that will come in time.

So here he is...better pics to come after he settles in.

You should name him 'Blue'.....kinda like naming a big person 'Tiny.'

Very cool! He's definitely got some nice diffusion going on there . I love my bloodred and I can't wait to find him a lady friend so we can try for some babies

Thanks for the compliments! Now I just have to wait till he settles in, get a mouse in him, let him digest, then I can get him out and get some better pictures. Wow, the wait is going to kill me. But I'm happy I got him.

nice looking bloodred. My favorite corn morph. I also have a bloodred corn and eventually I'll get him a bloodred ladyfriend. If you dont mind me asking, where or who did you get him from?

Thanks! I got him from a breeder named Becky from Becky's Vivarium. I posted a wanted ad on the Corn Snake forum I'm on.
http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/ I got a couple replies and picked this one. I don't think she's a big time breeder, but I'm pleased. I've seen lots of 08 bloodred babies lately that would have been cheaper, but I'm a little weary getting babies that small. They are so tiny as babies and I worry about feeding them. Plus they are a lot jumpier that young.

Oh I'm on that forum as well.. same user ID . They are a bit jumpy as babies but as for feeding them.. you start with pinky mice and work your way up until adult mice. Both of my corns have had no problem getting their food down. Either way, nice pickup. I'm looking for bloodred female that is carrying the pied-sided gene.. cause I cannot afford a pied-sided bloodred cornsnake yet..

It would be cool to name him Spartan cause spartans wore crimson! and I can't think of another word to describe him.. besides beautiful .. *cough* I mean handsome!

Beautiful snake! I love adult bloodreds, but I don't think I'd have the patience to raise an "ugly" hatchling...haha, great find!!
