Can specific personality traits be linked to specific morphs?
I know people breed some species with regard to personality. I try to do this with my feeders. The calmer the prey the better. And, I understand that the personality of each individual snake varies.
But I was wondering if A) Anyone has ever breed BP's with regard to personality and obtained positive results. And B) Has anyone ever notice, with some consistency, a specific "personality" trait (not physical like wobble) that could be attributed to a specific morph?

Spiders ands spider morphs seem very curious and out going, with a strong feeding response. Pastels seem to be wild eyed and a little scared. Albinos are laid back and gentle. At least thats what I have noticed in my collection.

My VPI axanthic and hets are all mean spirited biters -- and I haven't been able to break them of it. Tho they are all from the VPI line they aren't directly related they all came from different breeders. I've noticed picky feeders will beget picky feeders as well.

That's interesting, my pastels are very laid back, not wild eyed or scared at all - not the least bit head shy and very chill.
I have heard that spiders are very outgoing.

Our bee is very curious.
Our Albinos are both very laid back, the female is a great feeder while the male is picky.
Our Het VPI axanthics (Male being double het for snow from Ralph)are great feeders. The male has the most awesome muscle control. I have rarely seen a snake that could back its way all the way up a long sleeve shirt while doing a U-turn to gets its tail started.
Our normal girls are the snappy ones that always look ready to strike.
Our het pieds from VPI have some sight issues but are otherwise good snakes, I think their vision issues hurt their feeding responce a little.
Our Mojaves are the best feeders around and great growers as the female is close to 500 grams already and she is a May 08 birth date.
Our Pastels, het orange ghosts, Het clowns, Het Caramels, Genetic reduced, and normal males are all pretty much what I classify as normal snakes for feeding, shyness, and unsocial.

i have a pastel female that was crazy while she was young. she would hiss and sometimes strike whenever you opened her tub. seemed like she was just an always P'Oed girl. she also has a crazy feeding response one puts on weight like nothing. now she still likes to hiss a lot but has calmed down as well.
she was bred last season and laid a clutch of six eggs for me. the hatchlings are just like momma with one being exceptionally crazy.
its funny because it seems that their personality is exactly like their mothers and would lead me to believe that certain personality traits in ball pythons can be heritable genetically.
now lets just hope they can pack on size like momma.

My pastels are very calm also. & my spider is very outgoing and eats like a pig. She has no wobbles, btw.
