Grr. he kills, but does not eat.
Bummer. One of my '08 males is doing something odd. He constricts his rat pup.. and then just leaves it there. This has happened not one.. not even two.. but three times, and he has not had a meal in him yet. Last week I even left the rat in all night (shoebox tub) after making sure discreetly that it was dead. No go. Any advice? I am at my wit's end!

try something smaller. hopper mice work great. he's probably uncomfortable with the size.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the fast reply Adam. I didn't even think of thinking outside of the rat box
