    Smile First Ball Python

I got this little guy yesterday. I have been dying to get a snake for years. I thought now was a pretty good time, because I have moved away from home and away from my crazy roommates (parents).
Things are going really well, I feed him successfully for the first time today, F/T. It took like 5 seconds for him to realize it was there and snap it up.
He is 18" long and around 64grams. He is very active and curious.
I am so thrilled. Once he grows out of his current home, I plan on custom making a new, more natural habitat.

His name is Eero Saarinen, after the architect. I am an architecture student, so of course I have to name him after a dead architect.

lol! I love him he's adorable! Just one quick thing. If you didn't already know it is best to leave your ball alone for the first week or two. Its a common practice that all of us use here on BP.Net. Balls need time to aclimate themselves to their new environment and such. I'm glad he ate for you, some balls aren't very good eaters at first. Enjoy your stay on BP.Net Everyone here is really nice and they have great advice! Just keep an eye out for scammers and NEVER stop asking questions!!

Thanks for the advice. I only took him out for a few minutes and he did it pretty voluntarily. I just opened the door and let him crawl on my hand. I was really surprised, and let him just chill in my hand for a bit. He seemed pretty okay with it.

    He's a cutie =]
I just got my new babe this past Sunday and I fed her Tuesday and she ate just fine. We're also handling her bit by bit and she seems to be fine!
Good luck with him and all that jazz.
We'll grow as snake owners together =]

PS: As a watch salesperson, nice watch
