I just want to know what the odds are that after one lock up will it take? Or how many times should they lock up to have a good chance of her taking? I saw the mating schedules, just want to know the odds, thanks.

My question is did they actually lock up or just get in position?
I have seen snakes that I was sure locked up but when you get down to the nitty gritty the male didnt extract his hemipenes, they just were in the position.
I like to see 5-7 locks during the season to feel that the mission has been accomplished

It all depends on the female. If she is ready one lock up can do it. If not they can lock up a hundred times and it won't matter.
