How often should a bp poop? :\

Hi guys i've had my bp for about a year now ... and ever since i got him he only poops after he sheds is this normal? at first he shed every 3-4 weeks since he was a baby but now it's about every 1 and a half month... just wondering if it's normal for him ? seems like a long time for him to poop lol

Well as adults they don't poop nearly as much as they do as hatchlings but generally anything that passes feces does so as long as they have enough food coming in, enough water to drink and a reasonable amount of moment to stimulate their insides to passes those feces.

How big is your snake? How often does it eat and what is it eating as far as size and type of prey?

What kind of substate is it on? I would think there may be some pooping going on you may be missing?

he's about 3 ft and eats a small/medium size rat every 7 days and he's on the coconut husk substrate

There ya go..... I would all but bet money if you really looked around in there you would find some feces in the coco fiber. That stuff sucks the moisture out of the feces really quick so it blends in really well.

Nop trust me i look almost everyday in is cage to make sure it's clean , sometime i do find some yellow stuff but i know that ain't poo ? but anyways if he does go only after he sheds and does eat every week everything should be fine ?

i just want to make sure everything is fine with him =p

I find it varies dramatically between snakes. Some go every 2 weeks and some 2 months. They go when they have to.

yeah my male is about the same size only poops about 1 a month
my females about every 2 weeks sometimes 3weeks
