    johnson thermostat

decided to check out ebay for a thermostat for my CHE. figured with temps outside changing, my room temp is going to get thrown out of wack. anyway, i found one that looks to be fully wired, but IF its not, or i find a cheaper one thats not wired, how hard is it to do the wiring yourself?

Very easy, just like a Ranco. This is a good step by step of a Ranco but opening your Johnson and following this you should be able to figure it out.

Reptile basics has them wired already for something like $79.00 plus shipping, jut letting you know so you do not pay to much.

    Re: johnson thermostat

My husband works with an hvac company that sells both the ranco and the johnson controls. We get the rancos for 55 and the johnson controls for 59. Just so everyone knows those are the wholesalers price. So i guess its not so bad to pay 79 wired from reptile basics. We do prefer the johnson controls A419 over the ranco only because if the probe goes bad you can replace the johnson controls and not the ranco's.

yea, i was thinking about going with that one, but after checking ebay i thought i could get one cheaper. if it doesn't work out, i'll most likely go with the pre built one
