The problem with getting new snakes

Ok Friday I finnaly got my beautiful female pastel. My roommate was kidding and said "we should name her Paris, that way she will eat like a hog." It was a joke because they had another snake they named after a sister who was all skn and bones and that sake wouldn't stop eating. Well the name stuck.

I have waited for her for what seems like forever! So my problem....is I want to look at her, hold her, take a ton of pictures of her.....but she has to stay in quarintien and I don't want to stress her out LOL That is the problem with gettting a new baby snake. She was stubborn and didn't want to eat for her breeded so I am taking extra care to leave her alone but I want to play with her..... Ok tell me I am being a brat. She was on hopper mice before I got her and has had 3 meals. She is SO beautiful. I only have a few photos of her and those where taken of her in her deli cup. She has been here since Friday and I have only peeked in on her 3 times (once to clean her cage). I am worried she won't eat for me. I am climbing the walls. So guys tell me to cool my heals. That everything willl be ok. That in a couple of years I will have........BEE'S

Seeing the way you're worrying and fretting over Paris' well-being, I'm sure she'll be fine with you.

Just a thought - if she's not eating for you yet, and she hasn't shed, why do you need to clean her cage?

She's a lovely snake with rich colors - it's gonna be cool to see what kind of bee she produces!

Give her a small tight enclosure with hide(6quart is a good size for babies) make sure your temps and humidity are spot on and you should be OK. be patient.

She is in a 6q tub. I had to clean her cage because the first thing she did was poo for me. Since I have only had her 2 (going on 3) days I figgured it was too soon to offer food. She looks so small compeared to my other two babies. My male is now up to 250g and the female I held back from my only clutch is 230g and both eat very well. I figgure just give her a bit of time but I want her to eat NOW NOW I want her to grow grow grow...LOL I am just being a bit impatient. I know things take time and she wont be able to be breed untill she is at least two but I have all these plans for her. Shoot I have a ton of plans for my male spider and I don't even have him yet......

I was concentrating on getting an albino, but every time I turned around something happened. I got into the pastels by luck. A wonderfull breeder offered me a female pastel (paris) for one of my large normal females. I was surfing the web and found a nock down stunning male pastel so I got him. Then I traded my one het female for albino for a female pastel, however before I got the female pastel I asked if I could change my mind and upgrade to a male spider. She had one left and agreed, so I just paid the difference. SO now I have 1:1 pastels and 1.0 spiders. To say the least my albino project is now on the back shelf, but I figgure if I get a few pastels next year maybe I can trade them for an albino .
