    belly question

    Dumb question....

I just came into posession of a 9 year old BP when someone walked into my work and asked if we could adopt it out. Since my county doesn't allow constrictors, our store wouldn't, so I said I'd take him home and find a home for him myself. I didn't get any info on him...his previous owner didn't seem to know a damned thing about BPs (it was poorly cared for), and was in quite a hurry. Now, I only had one BP before yesterday, but mine has a solid white belly. This one I adopted from him has black bands continuing all over the belly, slightly faded. Is this normal for a normal?

are you able to take any pictures that you could post? Even if it's only a cell phone picture etc... Are the black bands just a part of the belly pattern? I've seen some strange belly patterns before but not with bands of black like you seem to be describing. It might be fun to see if it was genetic

Like I said...maybe this is normal. I do a rediculous amount of online research on bps...but don't have much hand-on experience past my one little girl. But after looking at a bunch of pictures, it didn't look like it was common so I felt the need to ask.

    Re: belly question

Belly patterns can range from clean/pure white to very blotchy and speckled and anywhere in between. It's hard to say what the standard is for normals since it can vary so much. Pretty neat belly though.
