Burmese First Rabbit (Video) -need tips

Its 140 cm now and i'm feeding it 2 small rabbits every week at the size of the rabbit in the video, it haven't shed in about 1 month and 1 week... anyway that rabbit was suffering alot, i was thinking if it was better to switch to dead rabbits , does anyone think its better? i'm looking for tips on how to:
1-make the burmese eat dead rabbits
2-how to kill the rabbit without losing its blood and without making it suffer (so the burmese can eat it whole with its blood and everything)

Are there any frozen/thawed suppliers in your area that you could order from? If not, there should be someone who sells frozen rabbits. Which in my opinion would be much easier and more humane.

Cervical Dislocation is the best method I can think of, or a Co2 Chamber.

There are two different postings stickied on the DIY section that show two different styles of Co2 chambers.

Below is a walk through on how to preform Cervical Dislocation. I suggest you practice on an already dead animal, because if it is done incorrectly, it can be very painful.

As for teaching him to accept dead prey, shouldn't be an issue. Burmese Pythons aren't known for being picky. Just wiggle the rabbit with forceps.

you can do it the same way i do rats/mice etc.

I just throw them in a plastic bag (the size of the ones from the supermarket) and hit it on a wall in my house and they instantly die.

Since rabbits are clearly much bigger you should use a trash bag and grip it real tight so that all the air is out of it and just give it a good wack (not too hard cause you may spatter brains everywhere) on a wall or on a pole and it will kill it instantly.

If you do it right the rabbit will die on the first hit if you do it wrong you'll givee the rabbit a headache lol..

But thats how i would do it to my rodents.

However once i start feeding my snakes rabbits they'll be alive.

I really disagree with the above poster on this issue.

Kill it humanely or buy it frozen.

If you need a compelling reason not to do the above there is the fact that if anyone sees and reports you for animal cruelty the complaint will probably be upheld and you could have every animal you own taken away from you and be banned from keeping any for years.

At least that is exactly what would happen to you over here.

My religion forbids animal cruelty thats enough for me not to treat the animal bad, unfortunatly they dont care about animal rights in where i live..anyway , they don't sell frozen rabbits here , if anyone knows any method easy on the rabbit so that it deosn't suffer please tell ...

Dry ice should be the easiest, but If you can't get dry ice, you should definitely be able to get c02 in Kuwait.

It is scary that you can say all of that like its a joke, who taught you this method of pre-killing?

As for the rabbits - at least if you have no other choice than to feed live it would be a much better death than being put in a plastic bag that gets thrown against a wall, nothing deserves to die like that. I hated feeding live because it would take one of my snakes a long time to kill his rats, but I live where I can get frozen rodents shipped so that is not an issue for me. The CO2 chamber would be your best bet, I have never used one or know anything about them but it looks like some links were posted for you so you can see how to make one. Good luck, and I'm glad to hear you were thinking of the rabbits and you didn't want to see them suffer.
