    need some help

i was going to get another ball python when i ordered her the seller had a 1.2 okeetee corn snakes for sale he gave me an offer i couldnt refuse on them i was already paying shipping cost so why not. the question i have is they are on FT so i am going to order some online just wondering how many pinkies to order. the snakes are about 1 month old.

if someone could tell me about the growth rate during the first year of a corn.

i have read the care sheet on this form but if you have one or a link to one that you think is good that would also be appreciated

    thanks

Fairly steady growth, remember these things are ready to breed between two and three years of age and grow/mature quickly.

The normal bag o pinkys will get you through the pinky stage no prob as they will be taking fuzzies to hoppers within a year easy.

    Re: need some help

I got my corn in March. She was eating one pinky every 5 days. She's now eating 3 fuzzies a week. And she'd gladly take more if I offered! I think I only kept her on pinkies for a month before switching to fuzzies.

    Re: need some help

I agree. My three little girls are already on large fuzzy/small hopper/large hopper and they are ALL slow growers (just my luck). But even then, they didn't stay on pinkies for more than a few weeks.

My advice: Get a pack or two of fuzzies and stress that they should 'run the gambit' of weight/size. That way, you'll have smaller fuzzies to start with and larger ones once they've grown a bit.

That father is stunning! Okeetee I think...
And I also THINK those little ones are Miami corns. They are sweet!

yep...tons of morphs, tons of colors, NOT tons of money or space. Sigh. Just gotta pick your favorites and go with those these days.

Mine are Ghost, Amel, Anery, Snow, and HypoBloodred. Someday I may add a Lavender to that list.

A must have for any corn snake owner is Kathy Love's book: http://www.amazon.com/Corn-Snakes-Co.../dp/1882770706

But it and read it cover to cover.

Father is an OK okeetee; he has very nice oranges, but borders could be a little thicker. The little ones are definitely not miami's, you can already see the orange coming in on them. The are going to be very orange and bright snakes!! All of them should turn out to be real lookers. Looks like a great pick up to me!

    Re: need some help

Ah, once again Matt corrects my limited corn morph knowledge.

I noticed the borders were a bit thin, but the orange is really awesome.
