    Re: shed left on eye??

    Hi,

I take it you did the bath the same way as mentioned in the bad shed sticky?

I would probably move on to trying the damp pillow case method next as it tends to get a bit more friction on their head as they try and escape.

Do you know when he shed? Do you know how he eats and how much he weighs? Just trying to get an idea of how long it will be before he sheds again.

It might be a better idea to just wait till the next shed and make sure everything is bang on for that - it really depends on how easily it comes off.

I can't see the pic since it's blocked at work, but if it's a small area, scotch tape works wonders.

I wouldn't worry about it right now. If you just bought the snake, you should put him in his new home and leave him alone for a week or two to de-stress. If it's stuck shed, with appropriate humidity it should come off with the next shed.

    Re: shed left on eye??

and i tried looking over him good in the store, but i just noticed... he had a few scales in one or two spots that look really thin and are sticking up. i asked the people at the store if he shed in pieces or in one peice (they were teenage girls who didnt know anything cuz the more experienced guy had the day off) and they said it was in peices... i just thougt that if i took him home and gave him more humitity he would be fine... or sould i be more worried?? can the thin sticking up scales be from mites? i mean he looks pretty good over all but i just want to make sure. should i buy some mite medicine just in case?
