how can you tell by looking if a BP is het? the article in the beginning under genetics says you can tell by looking.

Which article are you referring to? Typically - no - you cannot tell just by looking.

i was refferring to the top of the page of the BP genetics forum .. it says further down that you can see just by looking but maybe they were reffering to the diagrams?

Yea the Hunters guide is designed for Dom or co-dom animals. Recessive hets look just like normals 99.9959999% of the time.

Not sure I totally understand but I'll answer both ways.
1: co-dom or dom animals 9 times out of ten look totally different than normals do so their most of the time easy to spot.
2: to tell the differance between a dom or co-dom animal you just have to do your homework and learn which is which.
