    how do i know when

    ya hay guys my first year breeding balls ,,, and i know to drop the temp in the cage and every thing,,, but when do you know when to interduce the male to the female. if any buddy can help ,thanks much later..

    Hey john welcome to the site, I would suggest look around most big breeders website and they have their breeding calender on it and it will tell you month by month what they do.
    off the top of my head, 8ballpythons.com, umm ballpython.ca/gallery/breeding[/url] i didnt post the link because i dont want to get in trouble but those should help, go to google.com and just search around..... hope this helps

    Ball pythons breed and reproduce in captivity year around but prime time for pairing up and breeding seems to be in the winter months.

    I'll start dropping my temps mid Oct and start pairing in Nov but I monitor my females for development year around..

    My advice to you is research research research..thats the fun part though

    For our first year breeding, we found it easier on us to wait until the female went off feed and began to develop follicles. When they started that development we went ahead and introduced our males. Worked very well and they laid good eggs a few months later.
