For my birthday, my dad has offered to help me make a rack of some sort. I've put a lot of thought into it, and gone over several ideas, but nothing seems to be what I want. The problem is that my snakes are currently "noodle-sized" and anything that we make now will be far too small years down the road. So, I'd rather not build anything elaborate and expensive and then have to tear it down.

Since I only have 4 snakes, currently kept in tubs, I have considered simply getting a shelving unit to put the tubs on. It would most likely just be a plastic shelving unit like most people have in their garages to keep tools on. I just need a way to get the tubs off of the floor, because here's how they look now:

2 Ball pythons, a black milk snake, and a white sided rat (not pictured due to quarantine). They basically sit next to the bed, which takes up half of the bedroom. My boyfriend and I are sick of it.

Will plastic shelves work? Any other suggestions?

As the snakes get older, I will move them into display caging. But for now, they're in tubs.
