    Parazap

Has anyone had any experience with Parazap and their BPs (good or bad)? I give only spring water to my BPs, and buy direct from a rodent supplier that raises their feeders on special diets (basically, I just don't buy my feeders from pet stores because I don't trust them), and all of my BPs have had fecals, etc., so I just wanted to know if Parazap would be a good addition to my BP husbandry, or if it is just a waste of money (or worse).

    Thank you!

Correct me if I'm wrong but Parazap is for snake mites right?

If that is what its for, all you need is Provent-A-Mite

Unless I am confused, Parazap is to treat & prevent intestinal parasites. It is also supposed to aid in keeping the intestinal flora intact (& supposedly to stimulate the appetite).

Get a fecal and IF the snake has internal parasites, then get medication from the Vet. I would not trust that junk..

Someone also used bleach to deworm their dog... Wonder why it didn't work..

Thank you! I have fecals & they are all clear, so I guess I'll save my money then. I haven't heard of anyone actually using this stuff on BPs, but I wanted to get some feedback.

Is it just me or is their advertised "modified syringe designed especially for reptiles and lizards" that they would like to charge you $2.50 plus shipping on - pretty much look like just your normal plastic syringe for a lot less than that. I'm not seeing the big old modification just for our scaley friends. I had to chuckle over their big selling point on this product "(plus you know exactly how much they are getting!)" Well ummm whoopie doo that's the whole point of using a syringe whether you are giving meds to your dog, your kids or your gramma. Did they think they invented this concept of controlled dosage?

    Re: Parazap

My girlfriend uses it on her Dragons and says it helps them with apatite and parasites... But dragons are much more prone to parasites than Ball pythons. My theory, the less crap you have to shove down their throats the better. A good stress free environment usually is the best thing you can do for them (or any reptile or mammal) I have never been much of a treater for anything unless they absolutely need it!

    Re: Parazap

Lol...the website does look a bit cheesy. And I don't like the fact that some people become 'Parazap Dealers' on their own websites.

But I have also heard many Bearded Dragon breeders state that is a great product for their Beardies (& I have 3 of those).

However, after the input on this thread, I am definitely not going to use it on my BPs (why fix it if it ain't broken?), and will have to research much more before giving it to my Beardies.

    Thanks all!
