    Twin BP cages

My twin cages are ready to receive my 2 girls.

These are 2 herptek 24x24x20", set up side by side and sharing the same heating device, controled by a Lucky Reptile Thermo control II PRO that also takes care of the light cycle.

    Here they are:

(on the top shelf you may see the 16x12" fauna boxes were they have been since IŽve got them)

Left, for Abuja, the NERD pastel

    Right, for Accra, the nominal

    Air temp(in celsius)/hum

    And some details

-each cage has two identical hides made from wood salad bowls

and a "humid" hide, with sphagnum

    here it is:

I fed them today, so IŽll probably move them on Wednesday

    Tks Evans
Wednesday will not be the best day for pictures. IŽll move them in their hides so they feel safer and let them settle for around 7-10 days (skipping next weekendŽs meal). Once they eat 1 or 2 times in the new cages, IŽll "bother" them with pics. I believe itŽs a safer move that way
But I have pics of the girls in the gallery. Take a look

    Hi Dr Del

This one has the night drop function. I bought through a Spanish online retailer. I donŽt know if they ship to Scotland, though. HereŽs the link: http://www.monanimal.net/index.php?c...70485502bfed05

    Hope that helps

    Re: Twin BP cages

So, I moved them on Wednesday and Accra (nominal) started to take advantage of her new enclosure

(I kept the old hide in for the first days)

Abuja (the pastel) is, as usual, more reclusive and I still did not see her moving around (although IŽve noticed that she has been testing the new area; the substract has been digged and the hides used)

hey, do you use heat lamps on your herptek terrariums? I want to place a ceramic heatbulb onto the mesh section for lamps, but i am worried the mesh will get way too hot? Do any of you also tape some of the vents shut to increase air temp?
