    Change in behavior

My 5 month old bp is acting really funny. She usually sticks mostly to her hides, coming out in the day time to hang around the water bowl every once in a while. Yesterday she was out for about an hour up on a log checking out the screen cover. To me it looked like she was testing it to see if she could get out. This morning I checked on her and she had burrowed under the waterbowl- which NEVER happens. The only thing that I have changed is that I turned her under tank heater on because it has started getting cooler at night. Is this a common reaction to new temps? its now high 80's in the warmer part of the tank and low 80's in the cooler part. I also changed around the cage accessories. Did I stress her out?

You could have possibly stressed her moving around the cage accessories. Based on the fact that you found her burrowed under the water bowl it may be that she doesn't feel secure enough in her hides anymore. Are the hides too small or too big?

The other thing thats possible is that your snake was looking for the proper temp range. You mentioned that it was getting cooler and you just started using your UTH again. She could have burrowed under the water bowl trying to get to the warmer temps near the UTH.

Maybe humidity seeking because it is more humid under a water dish for sure!
