Just out of curiosity, what were the details about him being overfed?

    He's very pretty. Nice one!

well, he is a fatty anyways. But when I walked by his cage the 3rd time, i noticed he had a huge buldge, bigger than it should be, and I asked the lady what they were feeding him, and she said live small rats, when I was thinking to myself, he should really be taking fuzzies for sure, definatly not small rats. He is a July baby also, he is about 17" at the moment.

New Cage Pictures also - I know he will need something bigger soon

That snakes look too big to on fuzzy rats, (or I just forgot how big fuzzy rats are) I think the woman is right to have him on small rats.

however the rats should be pre - killed or frozen thawed and I dont think that snake needs two rats per feeding but thats just me.

Also if the snake is getting two rats than the woman is still right because the buldge is from two food items not from one item so its not really over feeding.

I think over feeding is too many food items per feeding (compared to the snakes size) or feeding ONE food item that ends up looking like two food items when the snake has swallowed it and its in the body poking out.

I have two boas one regular and one brazilian they are still babies so I give them two mice and once they get bigger and big enough for rats it will be one small rat and so on...For now I give them multiple food items per feeding (one at time) because they are small and need more than a juvenile or adult might.

I apologize; i didnt see this second set of pictures, in the top picture the snake looks as twice as big as it REALLY is in the bottom pictures..

So you are right it SHOULDNT be on small rats it should be on fuzzie rats just as you said or adult mice. Again I apologize

Ya. Im going to be feeding him fuzzys, seems the best for him. Also, I dont feed frozen or prekilled, I do feed live, and will continue too, I have experience with feeding, also, I dont take my eye off until they eat. But I do appreciate the advice on feeding p/k f/t but everyone has there opinions. Anyways, thats everyones opinion on his caging.
