Newbie wanting to know what all the 1.0 or 2.1 etc... means

I keep seeing things like 2.1 pastel or 0.1.0 normal or whatever. What the heck does this all mean exactly. Forgive me for not knowing, I probably should be able to figure it out on my own but then again I've been known to miss the super obvious.

The sex of the snake(s). 1.0 = 1 male, 0.1 = 1 female. 1.1 = 1 male 1 female. etc etc. Sometimes you will see a 0.0.1. Just means the snake is unsexed.

It isn't terribly easy to figure that one out on your own.

If you ever have any more questions about what something means, you can check out the "what does that mean?" thread, which is stickied in the General Herp section:

Yeah, I've learned from experience that the stupidest question is the one not asked. Thanks for being cool about answering stuff like this. I'm still getting used to the fact that ppl on snake forums aren't your typical internet forum weirdos and are actually really nice, helpful ppl.
