UTH preferences
Hey everybody,
I am getting two baby boas from Jimisnakes and I am looking into the UTH's for their 15qt tubs. I have narrowed it down to Exo-terra, since they have the best sizing to fit the tubs. However, they carry a desert (8watt), and a tropical (4watt) mat. Which one would you all suggest?

Well, I have looked around at some not so well known sites, and still can't find a better match. I compared the wattage to ultratherm, and it would seem that the tropical is the way to go. I will have them on a dimmer, so should I spring for the extra wattage or is it just extra electric bill if the tropical will heat just as well.

If the lower wattage one will provide enough heat, you should go with that one. That way just in case your t-stat fails, the enclosure won't get as hot.
