    Mojave Hatch Update

Earlier this year the Male Mojave I got way back in 2004 finally fathered his first clutch. I had been waiting rather impatiently as he is an incredible looking Mojave with light green colored blushing. He has been breeding steadily the last three seasons (lots of lockups) but none of the Females he was with ever took. This year he kicked it up into high gear and fathered three clutches. I was really excited by the first one as it was a very nice looking light gold colored Female I bred him to. I was sure the babies were going to be outstanding looking and when they hatched they did not disappoint. I kept two of the Females in the clutch and as they have matured have just gotten better looking.

Here are some pictures of them right out of the egg. The first set is of MOJ08-1.

This second set is of MOJ08-2

As you can see the side blushing on them is a very pretty light brown color. The next sets of pictures were taken earlier today. In these pictures you will see the light brown blushing is now starting to get the greenish color of their Father. I am pretty sure as they develop they will get even nicer looking.

The first set is of MOJ08-1.

The next set is of MOJ08-2.

Here is a picture of the Male Mojave that fathered the clutches. It was taken about a month ago. Even though he is about four years old and has been through three breeding seasons he still looks pretty good.

As I already mentioned he has fathered three clutches for me this year and shortly I will post pictures of the incredible Pastel Mojaves he produced. I would have posted pictures of them sooner but one of the Females just had her first shed while I was in Daytona even though she was born on 7/20/08 and has been eating for the last month or so.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.
    Thanks,
