I keep my 3 larger boas in 4x2 RBI cages. The snakes are 3-6 years old and are all around 5'-6' long

I'll be getting either the AP T20 or the AP A35... but all my boas are female so they'll get larger than Jaxson. However, I'm diggin getting them each something they can climb around in and something they have room to stretch out in

Re: size of adults and housing
Thanks you three... Edie, I love those enclosures!! I might have to look into getting one for Jaxson sooner or later. Hes still comfortable in his 32qt bin and occasionally is housed in my rather large exoterra but i know eventually hes going to need to be in something bigger, I wonder if I couldnt put the boaphile type enclosure on top of my melamine racks, Im going to have two of them eventually and I know it would be long/wide enough to hold it, but would the weight be too much? How heavy are those enclosures? Otherwise where do you even put one of those things? Edie I love your set up.. how many do you have stacked? Jaxson is our only boa and should remain our only boa, my husband isnt very keen on them, its me who loves having a cute BCI around Although... some of Jimis boas are looking mighty fine!! Are you going to daytona jimi? I might have to stop by and drool a bit if you are.
.... Now if i could only find what to do with this exoterra bwaaa haaa haaaa.

Re: size of adults and housing
Thanks, I have 5 of those exact cages all together - 4 stacked until I clear up the final health problems with my rescue RTB.
I use the cages for my BPs as well, and I have 2 thermostats to control the boas/BPs.. It works out nicely because I orignally wanted a rack since everything was stacked but I like having the cages stacked much better. I decided to do the 2x4 for the BPs too since the RBI 2x4 was only $10 more than the 2x3 and $10 for an extra foot seemed like a good deal!
The bottom 2 cages hold BPs and they are both hiding under the kraft paper, the top boa probably is too. I also have the 2x4 stand which is at the bottom, I'm really glad I got that too.

thats really neat! Its great you gave your BP's the extra room, for that price i wouldve also. I love the kick board you got... I would certainly pay the extra money and do the same. I just think its going to look silly only having one of those enclosures lol.
Do you always provide bedding for your animals, i noticed a little mountain of it in your enclosures. I have thought about doing that in the past but the BP's are all housed on newspaper/papertowels and Jaxson is on aspen.

Re: size of adults and housing
My male is not grown yet but last week I ordered http://www.boaphileplastics.com/421d.html with the expandable right side, this way if I get a bigger female I can add another 2' or 4' section on in the future.

Yep, and it worked out because I could then stack all my cages so it wouldn't look weird - at first I only got one for my adult RTB but I liked them so much that I got more so it wouldn't look out of place!
I usually put that little bit of aspen down because I have a hard time keeping humidity up and I'm playing around with things to keep it up, I think there is some sort of moss I can use though and once I figure it out that will probably replace the aspen.. I used to have only aspen in those cages but the snakes just move it all around and then its almost pointless to have it in there because they just lay directly on the cage, and its a pain to get out!
