My first morph

I'm going to be picking up a Spider sometime in the near future I believe. Guy at the shop pulled out a few to show me and they were all gorgeous.

With that said, should I lean towards getting a male or female? Does it make a difference down the road when it comes to breeding? Would I be better off buying females of the basic, less expensive morphs and males of the more expensive ones, does it really make a difference?

I want to breed me some snakes but this is a whole new ball game and not sure if there are any sort of guidelines that would be wise to follow or what not. If it doesn't make a difference I'll just opt for the male to pair with my female.

If you have some normal females. I would get the male because he will reach breeding size faster. Females cost more and you could only produce 1 clutch but with the male you can breed him to a couple a females

As said above, but if you don't have any breeding plans for at least a couple years getting a morph now and letting it grow up would be a big help in the future as you would be starting with a female that is a morph!

I got a male for my first Spider. I did this for several reasons. One, he was lower-priced than a female But better yet, this year I was able to plug him in with 2 females.. So it is the ability to get 2 clutches of Spiders from one male, instead of one from one female... If you have more females, the merrier
If you're not planning on breeding, a male will be less expensive.. But you should go with one of either sex that just GRABS you, that you can't live without

I guess I will go with male then, that way he should be ready to breed around the same time Ruth is (he caught my eye anyways).

Besides, I can always hope that they produce a female spider, right?

well sure you can hatch out a femme spider but it will take a few years befor shes ready.honestly i would get a female.you can get full grown male normals for anywhere between 40 to 100 dollars or you can save up for a male pastel bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
