    Different weight and breeding question!

The next breeding season is fast and closing on us. I wanted to find out from some breeders who have females they are hoping to breed this up and coming season what weight are some of the females they hope to breed currently and what weight they believe they should be at for breeding? (No arguing about this people, just trying to educate myself a little on the topic, not judge the individuals for the way they do things!)

Also by when would you hope they make that breeding weight?

The reason I am asking this is we have an early 06 girl who was on a hunger strike for a long time (2 or 3 months). Recently she started eating again and is pounding the rats. She has probably gained 300 grams in the last 2 months. She is up to 800 grams now and I wonder if their is a chance she will make weight this year!

Also I've noticed as they get bigger and the prey gets bigger they tend to grow a little faster if they keep on the same feeding schedule.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Different weight and breeding question!

I hope to start my first breeding season this year with two girls. One is certainly ready to go, my biggest normal, as she is around 3 years old and weighs in at 1588g this month. The other is my Het Albino girl at 2.8 years old...but only 1165g at the moment. I'm hoping she'll gain at least another 400g by Christmas, and she should if I keep her on PK small rats and don't try another attempt at switching to FT until after I see if she makes weight.
