    Witnessed a shed....AWESOME!

I just went to check on the humidity and temps in Fosters tank since I knew she was in shed and when I walked in, I found her in the corner of her tank and for no particular reason took a closer look and low and behold she is in the process of shedding! HOW COOL! You could even hear it peel away from her body...is that a sign that the humidity is too low or is it to be expected?

Earlier today while at one of the many pet shops we went to, we witnessed a garter snake slithering out of it's shed as well and even though we couldn't see much of the snake (only about 3" - 4" were visable) it was still awesome to watch and stood there for about 10 minutes or so to watch what was left of it.

I had no idea that watching a snake shed would be some interesting. GOOD STUFF! I'm going to give her some time to settle back in before I retrieve the shed to see if it was in one peice or not. I would have gotten the camera out but I didn't want to cause an undue stress by turning the light on.

She is about 99% done but there is still a tiny piece on the tip of her tail...about 1/4" left. I know it needs to come off but should I give her some more time to try to get it off herself or should I step in and help out? Are they pretty pissy during a shed, is there anything I should expect if I need to take her out?

So it would be ok to go ahead and pick her up to get the rest of the shed off? As far as I can tell it's just the tip of the tail but until I see her in real light I won't know for sure since I was watching with the red glow.
