Shed not coming off in one piece

Okay, I've read that they really should get their old shed off in one piece.. my girl is now shedding, and is dragging her body into decorations and stuff to get it off. I've sprayed the terrarium the last 3-4 days, the humid is perfect, about 70, - WHY isn't it coming off in one piece?
Am I doing something wrong? :/

Try raising humidity to 80%, if that doesnt work you will need to get a small plastic tub with a lid that will fit inside your enclosure and fill it to a level half way up the snakes body, make sure the water is luke warm, then place the snake inside the tub, close the lid and place it on the warm side of enclosure for 1 hour, the shed will come right off then...

If she's a new snake to you - then the first sheds are often poor sheds.

Keep in mind that not all ball pythons WILL shed in one piece - some are just poor shedders.

I don't care if it's one piece or not - I just care if it's a complete shed - if they get it all off in their shed process, then I consider it a perfect shed!

Exactly! My largest female normal, a rescue, sheds in big pieces each time so far (twice) despite great spot on humidity (and sometimes higher) in her tub. I believe she's just like that... could be from the bad conditions she was kept in before, and if so I hope those skin layers all come off so we can have some good sheds and clear eyes (still dimpled slightly). But I don't care that she, and my other two adults, shed in pieces as long as it's complete and I know I've done what I can for cage decor and humidity.

And the soak really does work... but only AFTER they've started shedding. I use a damp pillowcase (or a washcloth for the smaller snakes) after the soak to give them something to slide through and get the stuck pieces off.

I've had her for a year, so she's not really new. She's never really shed all in one piece, but it hasn't been this "bad".. she just rubbed off all what was on her belly, and let the rest stay on.

I gave her a bath last night, and did as you told me to. it all came nicely off, but her head looks weird.. as if the shed hasn't really loosened up yet, there's a few scales that are white, but no border to "scratch" off. Should I just let it stay for a few days to see if she rubs it off? She's very tolerant of me touching her head, so it shouldn't be any problem at all if I had to give her another bath and rub carefully.. but I've never seen anything like that before. o.O
