Any Vegas People?
Hi,
I'm new to the board, though I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. I grew up in FL, spent countless hours in my childhood catching bahaman and green anoles, and always had a thing for snakes. Unfortunately, Mom was terrified of snakes, and then my ex-husband was terrified of pretty much all reptiles, so I'm just now to a point in my life where I can entertain the idea of getting my first snake. From everything I've read and seen, I'm absolutely smitten with BPs (and btw, as an animal person who's been to a lot of different animal message boards, I have to say that herp people are the coolest. )
I have no intention of jumping into BPs, especially with a limited experience with reptiles. It'll take me a good long while to save up for what I want (why do I always have to fall in love with the expensive morphs? ), but I want to make sure I have a thorough understanding of exactly what it's like to keep BPs before I get one. I was hoping to be able to go to an expo, or visit a local breeder, but I can't find anything within a couple hours drive. So, I thought I'd pick your collective brains, and see if there was anyone in or around Las Vegas, NV who might be willing to share some expertise and let me spend some time with their snakes.
I will be moving back to the East Coast (Virginia) in a couple of years, and I will probably postpone getting a snake until that happens, but it would be nice to learn as much as I possibly can in the interim.
Thanks in advance!
