    Chance's 2ND shed

this will be the 2nd shed chance has had since I got him (got him late june) his 1st shed was BAD. I had to peel him , and remove his eye caps. he went into the "blue" aug 2nd. Last night I noticed his eyes are clear again. So when should I expect him to start shedding? I have been trying to keep his humid. 60% or above. he has been staying in his hide which is over the UTH (bad, good, doesnt matter??).I have moss in his hide, some of it sticks out so I mist it at least twice a day. I took him out tonight and soaked him for about 30 min.

any advice? In his cage I have cypress mulch

I would actually recommend not soaking prior to a shed. I only soak after a bad shed has happened. I would say probably within 2 days you will have a shed. Keep that humidity bumped up. Mine really sheds best between 65 and 70 percent. Although with the moss you should be fine at 60.

    Hey Sherri~
Soaking so close to a shed will actually promote a bad shed. Keeping the humidity bumped and making it damp every day will do the trick.

He'll probably be fine as it looks like everything is set up well. And if he doesnt shed perfectly because of the soaking, well, its not the end of the world I'm sure you and chance will get the hang of shedding hehe
