Bad shed - but nothing terrible

Quick question - is it unusual for a snake to have a bad shed even though the humidity hasn't changed since the last perfect shed?

Adalae had a rough one today - her tail and her head shed perfectly, but the entire mid-section of her body is still stuck in shed. (I know this is usually backwards from most problem sheds. I don't know what her deal is - she does a lot of stuff backwards)

So anyway, I'm soaking her now but she's NOT happy about it. She actually took a swipe at me for the first time in her life today. I reached in and stroked her back like I always do - the signal that she's getting picked up - and she tolerated it but I could tell she was getting antsy. So I get my hand under her and I see her tensing, and I'm thinking to myself, "Yep - she's gonna bite me. " Sure enough, she whips around, mouth gaping, and snaps at me. Luckily I moved out of the way. Of course I yelled at her like I would a dog - because we all know that'll do me a lot of good... Sorry - getting off track here.

Back to the original question - should I up the humidity or was this just a fluke? She never has trouble shedding and nothing has changed in her tub.

Just a "bump" and a photo - She's staring me down in this photo, mentally screaming "GO AWAY!"
