    Oil absorbant pads for substrate?

I have a bunch of these oil absorbant pads that suck up oil like no tomorrow. I was thinking of using them for my adult ball pythons. I tracked down a MSDS Sheet but I am not 100% sure if this is safe for my snakes. Can someone look over this and tell me what you think? I have seen them in use at the butterfly conservatory in niagara falls where they are breeding the butterflys but I dont think they actually come into contact with it.

It seems fine. The MSDS sheet states that there are no hazardous materials, and they're usually pretty good at covering any potential dangers.

Just one thing... they might absorb a lot, but I wouldn't let them sit in the cage if they're soiled. Change it like you would any paper substrate.

Thanks! I will definatly change it if its soiled I just don't like how wet the tub gets when paper is used. I will likely try it in one tub for a couple weeks to see how it works out. It will give me some extra peace of mind when I can't check on the snakes for a few days at a time as well.
