    Adult Enclosure

So I know your supposed to put an adult male RTB in an enclosure of 6ft by 2-3ft right?
Well.. I intend to put my boy in a tub when I get older and was wondering, how do the breeders do it? Do they have gigantic racks or something?
I was thinking of getting an 'under the bed' storage unit thats 6ft long. How would I secure that if it wasn't in a rack? I was thinking bungee cords, but will those be secure enough for a 7ft snake?

Most adult males will be fine in a 4x2. Some get too large, but for the most part they'll be fine. There are commercial racks made for larger species. You can see some in the "Big Snakes" episode of snakebytes.tv. Sterilite makes locking tubs that should work alright. That plus some bungees should keep him secure. I wouldn't recommend actually keeping him under your bed though. If there is an electrical issue that causes a fire, you don't want to be sleeping on top of it.

AHAhAh. No, my bedframe is a water bed frame with an air mattress. I have no 'underbed'.
That was just the type of tub I was referring to.
Interesting. I shall check out that sterilite tub then!

The biggest one I could find on their website was the 1990 here.

Isn't that a bit small though?

It's what the storage units are called bro...

I would purchase a plastic cage....4x2x1 should be plenty big enough for a male boa.

    Re: Adult Enclosure

When you say plus heat, would it make sense to just use some flexwatt with a t-stat?
Or would that not work for those cages?
