    Question Mites

SO...i have had my sweetie for a month. She has been on papertowel now for 2 weeks. I handle her 2-3 times a week and maintain her tank thoroughly. She is eating regularly and seemed to be doing REALLY well.

Today, I went to pick her up and saw a TON of mites on the paper towel.

I have ordered PAM but what can I do in the meantime to take care of her problem?

    Re: Mites

Wash the cage out with HOT water (that should kill some of the visible mites), soak the snake in lukewarm water and wipe it down gently with a paper towel and you'll see a bunch of the mites come off. It is only a temporary solution but I had to do the same thing when waiting for my PAM to come in the mail. It seemed to work well for me

I don't know how long it will be before the PAM arrives, but you can get Reptile Relief to put onto your snake for temporary relief. Make certain to NOT put PAM on the snake!!

I tried reptile relief and it didn't do much more for me than just water and a paper towel did. I got it since I had to wait for my PAM too but I wasn't impressed with it

    Re: Mites

YEP....they cancelled my order for PAM. I guess the company will not deal with NY laws regarding this product and will not honor any orders from NY.

What do I do now? UGH
