    Wet or Dry?

Is a BP's tongue (supposed to be) wet or dry?

wet...shouldn't every animals tongue be wet? It's a mucous membrane. I don't know how you would be able to tell if any snakes tongue was wet or dry though...

Hmm that is true...maybe not all animals have wet tongues, I just imagine that a snake would.

When you see open mouth shots, all the tissue usually looks wet.

That's all very comforting. My Monty was sticking his tongue out and I caught it on camera and it looks wet. I guess I was thinking dry like a cat - something that wouldn't look...slick and slimy.

    Here's his pretty picture.

I should add, in case you can't tell, that he's shedding. That's the strange "collar" he's wearing.

My cats tongues are wet...very rough, but still wet...

I know what you mean though.
