Re: Leos, set-up, eggs, exc pics!
Your babies are living a life of luxury! My babies have to spend their 1st 2 months in a Mohr's Corn Condo. Then they go into a communal 15qt.

32qt should be plenty of room for a breeding pair. Yes, the Mohr's Corn Condo utilizes sandwich containers. I know that is awfully small but I wanted to protect them from tail nips etc. I made half log hides out of 1 1/2" MD plastic gas main and I use snapple lids for water dishes. I first feed them small crickets and when they are eating I switch them to mealworms. I also have a lid from a milk jug with calcium in it. I keep them in there for their first 2 months of life just to get them well established. I am the smallest of the small time and am not dealing in large numbers. The photos of your eggs with the dents in them just mean that they are a little dry. They should fill out in a humid incubator. It looks to me like you have a good set up for yourself.

does anyone here use sphagnum moss for incubating medium? I just added the moss mixed with the perilite and it seems to have helped boost humidity, hopefully those eggs will pop back up instead of being so dry... i had the same problem with our first clutch of eggs with being dry.

What substrate are you using in your lay box? If the eggs were like that when you pulled them out of the lay box is means that either the substrate is too dry or they were in the lay box for too long after being laid (as in several days or more). I like using moist bed-a-beast in the laybox with a layer of moist spagnum moss over top of it.
I supposed adding some spagnum to your incubation material wouldn't hurt if it is too dry, but I would simply add a few drops of water around the drier eggs and bury them a bit deeper so that they are more covered by the moist substrate. I have done this many times with crested eggs that got too dry before I pulled them from the lay box and it works like a charm.
Your mack snow is 100% female and really cute!

Re: Leos, set-up, eggs, exc pics!
Thank goodness Emily to the rescue!!! I was hoping you would see this thread lol!
I knew she was getting close to laying so i would check on her everyday.. the eggs werent in the lay box longer then 12 hours... I was using perilite as my medium and know now it just gets too dry too fast. I did add some moss to the incubator and one of them has popped up a bit more, i will certainly bury them in the medium a bit more in hopes that it fills out more. All four eggs are doing well otherwise, the two newest eggs (The dented) do have nice big veins and the veins are growing (the cherrio is getting bigger too) im hoping we can save them. The older two eggs had visible moving babies in them but today i wasnt able to see them moving, perhaps they are getting too big to move around as freely?
Im sooooo glad to hear my mack snow is 100% female I can finally name her and anticipate her growing into a nice big mommy gecko someday, i have always fancied the mostly white geckos.

Definitely switch out your laybox substrate. It will help with the dryness and you also don't want your leo to accidentally ingest perlite when digging around in there.
Since the eggs are fertile they should plump up with the added moisture and be just fine. Babies do move around less in the egg as they grow due to space issues and toward the end of incubation you may not be able to make out much at all when candling because the gecko is filling up most all of the egg so light can't pass through it for you to see what's going on inside.

Emily, glad to hear thats what has happened with the geckos, I was afraid they died in the egg and that was why i couldnt see them moving. I have already moved the eggs down lower in the moss and switched out the substrate in the laybox. Thanks so much for your help as always!!!

Your mack does look female, But keep in mind those mack snows can change at the drop of a dime.
