    My first hets

    Well today I sent out my deposit on my first group of het for orange ghost. Picking a group up of 1.3 hets. I am excited and looking forward to getthing those guys home to me.

    Congratulations!

    Can't believe I'm saying this as cheap as I am but maybe you should consider upgrading to a visible ghost male. If these are hatchlings you could wait a year and keep the het (which was probably just thrown in free for the price of your females) as an emergency backup. I think I saw an adult proven breeder visible male ghost for $250 somewhere today, couldn't believe it. You could double your ghost hatch rate, avoid inbreeding, and turn all your normals into 100% hets for a pretty cheap upgrade.

    You think like I do Randy. If they are hatchlings I would wait another year to get the visual male, though. Ghost prices are dropping fast.

    Yeah the male was thrown in for free. I have been shopping around for a visible male. Thats why I started the thread about compatability. I didnt want to get a male that was not compatable with the girls and waste a year of breeding.
