Do 10 gal tanks need 2 uth?

Hi all... hope the weekend is winding down nicely for everyone.

My question is about the 2 tanks I have.

I currently have one reptic zone heating pad under the tank. With a dimmer switch & one accurite temp, humidity reader with probe inside the tank in the hot hide.

    Same for both tanks.

Humidity has been perfect never under %50.

But should I install a second under tank heating pad, dimmer switch, & accurite reader with probes for the cold sides?

I bought extra accurites & heating pads just in case but not sure if they are necessary to use on these 10 gal tanks.

    Thanks Much!
heres pics "IF" they work that is...

You also really should cover the back and sides with something opaque. Helps them feel secure.

And yes, if you can't keep the temperature in the room your snakes are in at 80 or above, you need a second UTH...even on a 10gal. In face, I've found you get a better gradient with two UTH on a 10gal than on a tub or 20long.

Of course, you'll need to get two thermostats to control them both. That's why your temps (seemingly) are WAY too high! Dimmers and rheostats work only if your room temps don't waver more than a degree or two. If you can't afford the good $80 and $110 stats now, pick up two ZooMed ReptiTemp 500R stats for only $25 each and save up for the better stats.
Trust me, you NEED thermostats to be able to keep snakes. They are the difference between health and illness, and even life and death in power outage/surge times.

or check into getting a rack or a nice, good quality cage, it doesnt make much sense to me to spend that much money on just a ten gallon tank.

    Will do, thanks guys.

I knew there was a reason i picked up extra pads & accurites, i should of just installed them in the 1st place...I will install them now.

I will add privacy to those tanks within 24 hours

What do you mean, 'spend that much on a 10gal'? When you buy thermostats they're for ANY enclosure, especially racks, and UTHs can be reused if you don't use the adhesive and just tape them onto the tank or tub with foil tape.

To me, those are investment purchases...not money wasted.
