    Question Too Big ??

    Will a BP attempt to kill and eat a rat that is too large for it ???

    Yes.

    One got out the other day, and got into a tankful of rats in the same room. She's not very big, but she took out a weanling - which she couldn't manage to swallow. (Nice that she had someplace to go, though - and was easily relocated!

    Yes they will, one of my females wont eat F/T so I have to buy her a rat every week, last week the rat looked smaller in the store and I put the rat in the snake tank, after she constricted I realized how big the rat was, after much trouble she did get the rat down but looked like she swallowed a football...

    She wont feed this week, i dont know if its because of the huge rat or that she is in shed...
