    messed up jaw

a friend of mine has a corn snake thats an adult and something is wrong with his jaw. my friend said he ate a rat that was too large a few weeks ago and now his jaw will not realign. do any of you guys have any suggestions as to what he could do to help him out. the snake is yawning all the time trying to realign it and he has eaten just fine since then. i dont have any pics nor can i get any. it just looks like hes smirking. i looked in his mouth and everything looks ok nothing is swollen and nothing is in there that shouldnt be. id like to help the little guy out if i cant but i don have any idea.

    thanks

I'm not sure why your friend would feed a snake that has a jaw that hasn't re-aligned since it's last feeding????

Personally I'd suggest that your friend take their snake to an experienced herp vet and see what's going on rather than just keep leaving this situation unaddressed.

Well other than informing the local Humane Society that the pet store has an animal on it's sales floor with an obvious injury, I'm not sure what else to suggest.
