    Cool Haha, interesting feeding...

Ok so I get home from work and my BP was goin into S position right when it sees me. So I always test how hungry she is by puttin my hand near the top of her tub. She swiftly came to where my hand was. So I knew today was the day.

Went to the store, got a rat, sleepy time for rat, then I could tell today was gonna be tricky lifting the top and using tongs slippin the rat in. Since she was waiting right inside the tub like 3 inches from where i lift and she snags. Plus my tong is only like 7 inches long.

I open the lid fast and my snake was goin berserker, haha. Striking like crazy (missing the target!) and I got spooked and I accidently dropped the rat in. Although the snake didn't care to much. She was still waitin even for food to wiggle in front of her even though the rat was layin dead right in front of her. So I waited like 3 minutes, to see if maybe she'd start working on the rat. No luck.

I was thinkin since she was on such a feeding response, maybe I could get her to follow my hand and hit the rat on the ground, inside the tub! Crazy idea (), haha. So I tapped on the top a bit and she was goin for my hand but the tub lip stopped her. So I then started tapping the side of the tub rapidly behind the rat. And bam!! Strike and constriction. I am amazed that actually worked. I was so relieved I wasn't gonna have to take the top off and try to get the rat out with her in berserker mode.

Thought someone might enjoy the story. Anything weird like that happen to you during feeding?

Oh God yes, and it always involves a snake flying out of its cage in my general direction like the world's worst jack-in-the-box.
