    green poop?

    Quick question...

Got a 4 year old rescue about a month ago. She was WAY underweight... It was because the owner was only feeding her an undersized rodent once every 3 weeks. Her husbandry was all wrong.. when I got her she had old skin everywere, and 3 or 4 layers of head skin / eye caps.

Well, the old skin is finally gone, and she is eating regularly. she has already put on lots of weight (eating 3-2 month old ASf's each feeding, and is about to shed again... but she hasn't pooped a normal poop yet. 2 times now she has pooped smaller then normal greenish poops.

Does this smaller then usual greenish poop suggest that something is wrong? Or is it just that she has been underfed for too long and her digestive system is screwed up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem with my baby, and I was told it's because something's upsetting her tummy. So since she hasn't been fed right that's probably it.

Mike, I'd recommend having a fecal float done just to be safe. It might be nothing more than her digestive process adjusting to finally being fed correctly but heck a fecal float is usually under $30.00. I think that testing is well worth it when it especially when it comes to rescues with unknown backgrounds that likely include some pretty poor husbandry issues.
