Mini clutch

Good things do come in small packages. This morning I got a nice little clutch of 3 eggs from a female that I didn't think was going to go this year. She stopped feeding early last fall and by January I had stopped putting my males with her because I felt she was to thin. Well she decided she was up to the task and ovulated on 5/20 with pre-lay shed on 6/8. I didn't get to excited because she didn't look like she was carrying much and I thought she might slug out on me, but instead gave 3 longish fertile eggs.

She was pretty proud of herself and was not about to give up her trophies very readily.

She has some good blushing and other stuff going on but not enough that I would call her a dinker.

Nice!! I had a similar situation and got 6 eggs from a 1400g girl..

My bigger girl that I had high hopes for gave me 2 good eggs a boob egg that is not doing well and a slug lol.. sometimes good things come in small packages..
