    Well..... It's something

    Yeah!!

My Tarantula project is a bust.

    No blurries... None.

4 out of 6 eggs are hatched.

    2 spiders out of 6.

4 out of 6 eggs are out and ALL MALE so far...

    And angry at that..

This guy tried to nail me while taking pics...

    Angry sucker...

    I'm sad about the pattern...

    Here is mom and Dad..

    And Mom

I had heard that Blurries weren't genetic, but.. I had to try.

Heather -- I had an awesome blurry that I sold off to Jane Whited (Mickies Nightmare) he produced a nice healthy clutch last season of normals -- shes going to breed out the project and hope that it's recessive.

Personally as awesome as they look -- I think Blurry looks more like an accident (temperature spikes) kind of thing than a genetic thing -- which is why I didn't hold on to him.

Anyway -- there is still a recessive chance I guess!!

Least you got some nice healthy babies this clutch

What is this 'blurry' phenomenon exactly?

Also, that spider is wicked cool looking!

Ok... I've gotta ask! Is the Tarantula a Blurry Spider? I've not heard of that one but it sounds cool! Are there any pics floating around?

At any rate, those Spiders are HOT Heather!!!!! Congrats!

    Re: Well..... It's something

Heather the babies look great despite not showing the blurry trait. I agree with Tosha and Jon on holding back a spider male and line breeding back to mom to see if it is recessive or not. Blurry spiders or Tarantulas would be pretty cool looking. Good luck and don't give up on the project just yet.
